Bash at the Rec
Each year, MTUA participates in BASH at the Rec, one of the biggest student organization fairs on campus! Held in late August on the South Rec fields, this event gives us the chance to connect with thousands of new and returning students. Whether you're interested in law, public speaking, or just looking for a fun community, stop by our booth and say hi—we'd love to tell you more about Mock Trial, our info sessions and audition process!

Info Sessions
Want to learn more details about Mock Trial at the U of A? Come to one of our Info Sessions! We host multiple sessions at the beginning of the fall semester where you'll get an inside look at what we do, how tryouts work, and what it's like to be part of the team. You'll also get the chance to meet current members, ask any and all questions, and see if MTUA is the right fit for you. No prior experience required—we're excited to meet you!

Members interested in Auditioning are required to attend one info session
Mixers
Our Mixers are a great way to get to know the team in a fun, relaxed setting! Held during recruitment season, these casual events give prospective members a chance to hang out with current MTUA members, ask questions, and get a feel for our team dynamic and the people involved—no suits or speeches required. Whether you're prepping for tryouts or just curious about what we do, come on by!
Auditions
Auditions for MTUA take place at the start of the fall semester and are open to all students—no prior experience necessary! Historically auditions have consisted of a 1-Minute Monologue, a cross examination of one of the characters in this year’s case problem, and questions from our Coach Board. They are meant to be low stress —so bring your personality, commitment, and give it your best shot!
Auditions will take place September 3rd and September 6th, 2025 at the James E Rogers College of Law
